BENEFITS OF TUNING
Ski racers, skiers and snowboarders tune their equipment by sharpening and smoothing the edges.
Metal ski edges become dull and develop burrs with repeated use the same way a razor blade does. These worn edges lower the performance of the ski. They slow skiers down; reduce their grip on hardpack snow or ice; and interfere with a smooth, gliding turn. Filing the edge of a ski sharpens it, giving a skier the edge grip they need for hardpack, ice and racing.
Different skis and variable skiing techniques require different degrees of edge angle or bevel. Each of these 5 versatile tools adjust to different edge bevels making them perfect for any situation. |
